Year Levels: 3–8 

Share in the Passover story, learn about the values of freedom, memory and the role of the Exodus in the history of the Jewish people. Take part in Passover rituals that have been performed by Jewish people for thousands of years around the world. Discover how Jewish festivals and rituals are contextualised in modern Jewish communal life.  

Includes: Museum tour, synagogue visit and a model Sabbath welcoming ceremony with food tasting.
Duration: 2 hours.

• Discuss and interpret the origins and significance of Jewish festivals.
• Explain the impact of cultural traditions on personal, and collective identities.
• Describe how aspects of their own and others’ lifestyles, behaviour, attitudes, and beliefs can be culturally influenced.
• Examine the connections and differences between Judaism and Christianity.
