Programs for Students
We develop and present a range of innovative education programs for primary and secondary school students, both Jewish and non-Jewish, that strategically target the new Victorian Curriculum, as well as the Jewish studies curricula from Prep to Year 12.
The newly introduced Ethical and Intercultural capabilities to the new Victorian Curriculum reflect a renewed commitment to strengthening multiculturalism in Australia. Our work reinforces Victoria’s stated commitment to raising young citizens who are able to engage positively in our multicultural society. Our education programs deal with issues of identity, community, migration, multiculturalism and world religions.
Booking a school excursion to the Jewish Museum of Australia is the ideal way to educate and encourage your students and teachers to become more open and understanding of peoples’ differences and commonalities.

Being Jewish in the 21st Century helps students to understand and recognise the many shared traits and interests of all young Australians, regardless of their religious backgrounds. The program uses the photographs and narratives of a young Australian Jew to teach participants about details of a contemporary Jewish Australian life as well as current religious rituals.
Jewish Context of the Life and Words of Jesus, The Jewish Context of the Life and Words of Jesus
Created by the Jewish Museum of Australia, this groundbreaking education program directly addresses the subject of ‘The Jewish Context of the Life and Words of Jesus’ taught in Catholic schools across Victoria. The program reflects the Museum’s status as a leading educational resource for teaching about Jesus and his Jewish world, and for the furthering of interfaith understanding between Jews and Catholics.
