Artist Bio:
Nina Sanadze (b. 1976, Georgia, lives in Melbourne) is an artist whose work explores monuments, archives, historic narratives and political action.
Sanadze’s art weaves narratives drawn from lived experience and ancestral histories of conflict, constructing a “wall of remembering” as a defence against the repetition of history. Although rooted in the past, Her work reflects urgent and current socio-political developments worldwide, thus making her work both timely and compelling.
Nina holds an Honours Degree in Graphic Design & Book Illustration from Moscow State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the VCA. She has exhibited at a survey show at the Ian Potter: NGV (2024) and solo shows at the 3rd Tbilisi Triennial (2018).
