At the Jewish Museum of Australia, we illuminate Jewish life.

At the intersection of art and Jewish culture, our Museum is a place for all people to share in the Australian Jewish experience.

We are proud of our myriad education programs, which support a multicultural society. Thousands of students from government, Catholic and independent schools visit us each year to learn about Jewish culture and contributions to this country, and our programs for professionals across all sectors scaffold their understanding of and connection with Jewish life.

Students from Jewish day schools are engaged through activities such as our Roots program delivered with the Australian Jewish Genealogical Society – the outcomes of which are showcased in our Telling Our Stories exhibition.

We create pioneering projects, including Be the Light, which brings together Years 5–9 students with youth from the Australian Jewish community to support cultural competency and inspire advocacy.

Education at the Museum is not limited to schools; our short courses allow adult learners to discover more about themselves, their culture and the world.

We do all this because museums change lives. Maintaining identity, enhancing social cohesion, building connections and fostering a community that celebrates difference underscores everything we do.

But to achieve this, we need you. With intolerance ever rising, we’re working even harder to combat it through education. Give now and keep us – and the minds of those we touch – shining bright.
