Exploring Jewish History, Culture & Community
This is a 2.5 hour Professional Learning program for educators and school staff at the Jewish Museum of Australia. Through an engaging workshop, guided tour of the Museum and visit to a synagogue, participants gain a deeper understanding of Jewish history, culture and the Australian Jewish story. Drawing on the richness of the Museum’s collection, the program provides a meaningful opportunity to explore contemporary Jewish life, local challenges, and engage in open, informed and respectful dialogue in a safe environment. This program can be tailored to any particular focus of the school.
This program helps build respect for and understanding of the Jewish community in Australia, supports equity for Jewish staff, students and their families, and encourages curiosity and reflection.
