2019 marks the centenary of the birth of Sir Zelman Cowen, one of Australia’s most distinguished scholars, statesmen and public intellectuals.

The Sir Zelman Cowen Centenary Exhibition, A Life of Opportunity and Success, brings together documents, artefacts, personal memorabilia and an interactive timeline with photographs and films showcasing his life and legacy.

The Exhibition invites viewers to reflect upon the elements which contributed to Sir Zelman’s many public achievements and to the powerful values he championed through his leadership roles.

A Life of Opportunity and Success has been curated by the Sir Zelman Cowen Centre at Victoria University, in partnership with the Jewish Museum of Australia, as part of a series of events to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Sir Zelman Cowen.

It will be on display at the Jewish Museum of Australia from 8–25 August.
