Tu B’Av – Stories of Love
“Many waters cannot extinguish love, nor can rivers wash it away.”
Song of Songs 8:7
For thousands of years, Tu B’Av, the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Av, has celebrated the enduring power of love. From young people dancing in the vineyards of ancient Jerusalem to the many ways we seek and express connection today, Tu B’Av reminds us that love takes many forms and carries our stories across generations.
Inspired by the heartfelt letters, family archives and memories woven through ZAHALKAWORLD: an artist’s archive, join us for an evening celebrating love in all its expressions: the romantic, the familial, the creative, the unexpected and the beautifully complicated.
Through storytelling, music, food and conversation, hear tales of love that are tender, humorous, surprising and deeply human.
Featuring Tali Lavi, Alice Zaslavsky, Michael Gawenda, Ryder Jack, Anita Lester and Gideon Preiss.
Doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Ticket includes a drink upon entry and entry to the exhibition ZAHALKAWORLD: an artist’s archive. Arrive early to view the exhibition.
