Ten tantalising tales: Stories from the Jewish Museum of Australia collection

From secret Persian marriage certificates to imaginings of a Jewish homeland in the Kimberley – the collection of the Jewish Museum of Australia is a treasure trove of Judaica, contemporary art, historical documents and artefacts.

In this lecture, as a farewell tribute to the institution she has led for almost a decade, Rebecca will present ten intriguing objects from the collection, accompanied by stories and contexts that will surprise, enlighten and delight.

She will reflect on the meaning and significance of objects in Jewish life and culture, and share some treasured memories and anecdotes from her time at the Museum.
