Ittay Flescher
6 week course (October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 9, 16)

This six-week online course, presented by Ittay Flescher, explores what the news from Israel teaches us each week about the desires that animate the many conflicts and struggles of modern Israel.

As the content of this course will be determined by the news of the day, each week will see you discussing issues as varied as an election in Israel, a war, vaccines, tensions between secular, Arab, national-religious and Haredi Israelis – or all of the above at the same time.

If you are a person that likes to know the stories behind the news and appreciates high-level conversation with people that are similarly engaged in the unfolding story of the Zionist project, this course is for you.

This course is co-presented with JW3 (London).

Please note: there will be no class on Tuesday 02 November due to the Melbourne Cup public holiday in Melbourne.

Facilitator: Ittay Flescher has been working in formal and informal Jewish education for the past 18 years. Since leaving Melbourne to make Jerusalem his home in 2018, he has been working as the Israel Correspondent for Plus61J Media and the Education Director at Kids4Peace.
