Robin Moss
4 week course (August 31, September 7, 14, 21)

Travel back in time with the UJIA‘s Robin Moss and experience Israel and Zionism through a unique lens – by role-playing important historical episodes from the inside.

It’s easy from the vantage point of the present to judge the past based on its consequences, but much more interesting to get inside the head of the people who had to make difficult choices at the time.

In this four-week short course, we will head back to the 1903 Sixth Zionist Congress and explore the debates about whether the Jewish State had to be in Land of Israel. In 1937, both the Zionist and Arab leaderships in Palestine had to decide whether to accept or reject the British offer of partition. We’ll also re-visit 1947 and 1948 and see how the decisions made then continue to reverberate today.

Together, we’ll understand Israel then and now better and have some fun along the way.

Please be advised that bookings for this series will close at 6.30pm Monday 31 August, with the Zoom link emailed thereafter.
