In this course, award-winning filmmaker Danny Ben-Moshe Award will take us on a journey into migration, as we see the impact of culture and how it manifests in identity. Documentaries to be screened include

Shalom Bollywood, the untold story of Indian Cinema and the Jewish women who became superstars; My Mother’s Lost Children (best documentary, JIFF 2017), in which Danny looks at his own family and the impact on his mother when his father took the children and never returned; a forthcoming ABC primetime documentary on a migration story in contemporary Australia; and a film about music culture in which Jewish migrants are at the fore.
