Harmony Days

The Jewish Museum aims to build bridges with other faiths and communities.
In today's society, we believe that education opens doors to understanding and acceptance. In this vein we are seeking to increase the dialogue between students from diverse backgrounds.

It is on the basis of this premise that for the last 4 years the Jewish Museum of Australia has conducted Harmony Days in connection with our temporary exhibitions which allow students from different backgrounds to come together and learn about issues of diversity and cultural identity.

These programs usually run for between 2 and four days (not usually consecutive).

We work hard at achieving a mix of students and then to try to encourage the sharing of thoughts and ideas.

We usually channel these ideas into an artistic/dramatic framework. With the expertise of talented artists the students
will (if appropriate) demonstrate their work.harmony day

If you would like your school to be involved in a harmony day, please let us know.
Call Meryl Rood and ask her to advise you of the details.
