Synagogue tour

Step inside the historic St Kilda *Synagogue as part of the Museum experience, and provide your students with a meaningful and interesting framework for their studies and discussions. Whilst leading you through this magnificent building, our education guides will answer questions about Judaism and explain the way the synagogue is used and managed today. During this session students can explore Jewish rituals and sacred texts, gaining a clearer understanding of what it’s like being a Jew in contemporary Australia.

Programs can be customised to directly address your students’ study unit. This short program would be part of a general Museum visit.

*A synagogue is a building in which Jews meet for religious worship or instruction.
