Round-table discussion

In this program a school education guide from the Jewish Museum of Australia brings along an object from home that has some personal, cultural or religious significance for them. By asking students whether they have similarly special objects in their own homes, the guide opens up discussions about the object and provides insights into Jewish life. Students are encouraged to question their guide and come to understand the impact of history and social attitudes on Jews generally.

This short 15 minute program is recommended to be run alongside ‘Being Jewish in the 21st Century’.
