The Collection
The Jewish Museum's collection includes Judaica, documents, personal and organisational memorabilia, photographs, newspapers, textiles and contemporary art as well as the most significant holdings of 'Dunera' documents and memorabilia in Australia. Only a representative selection of the Museum's collection is included in the Museum's permanent exhibitions Belief and Ritual, The Jewish Year, The Australian Jewish History Gallery and The Timeline of Jewish History.

Reference Library and Archive
There is also an uncatalogued reference library and an archive with information about
Jewish communities around the world and Australian Jewish personalities, including artists.


Using the Museum's resources
Whether you are tracing family history, researching Judaica, Jewish art and design, history, celebrations or beliefs and rituals, the Jewish Museum of Australia's exhibitions, Collection, library and archives hold a wealth of information.

The Museum's resources are available for personal and/or professional research. You can either do-it-yourself, or engage the Museum on a fee-for-service basis.
