Contemporary art that highlights Jewish responses to the environment, examining what is different about being Jewish and green. Asking both Jewish and non-Jewish artists to respond to the earliest readings of the Torah and Talmud, this exhibition returns to our religious beginnings and re-contextualises these fundamental ideas in a contemporary framework.

Victor Majzner is a highly regarded Australian painter who has produced an extraordinary new body of work - an ambitious and beautiful collection of watercolours for every parashah (the weekly reading from the Torah). Painted over a six year period, these paintings are imbued with symbols which reflect the Australian Jewish experience.
