Make a special donation for Purim
Get into the spirit of Purim by sending a different kind of mishloach manot to a friend or family member this year and make a donation to The Jewish Museum of Australia in their honour. When you donate, an e-card will also be sent to wish them a happy Purim. Your gift will help the Museum continue to preserve and acquire new objects for its collection, such as these exquisite Megillot Esther (Scrolls of Esther) read every Purim.
Image: Scrolls of Esther and scroll cases. The small ivory 18th century case and scroll is from the Netherlands as is the larger 19th century ivory crowned scroll on the left. The 19th century silver and parcel gilt filigree cases and scrolls are from Poland (left) and Palestine (right). The silver octagonal 19th century case and scroll were made in Crete, Greece. The large scroll behind was written and illustrated recently in Israel. Donated by H M Lissauer.
